Two beautiful villas filled with light – floor to ceiling doors and windows open to spacious terracing and your private pool.
A Private Escape on the Shores of Lake Taupō
There’s something about Lake Taupō that invites you to slow down.
Perhaps it’s the ever-changing colours of the water, the native bush that surrounds the lake, or the feeling of having space all to yourself.
Set within a private lakeside estate, The Point Villas offer just that. Peaceful, secluded and beautifully appointed, they’re the perfect base for couples, families or friends wanting to experience Taupō at their own pace.
Your Own Space
Choose between two beautifully designed villas, each offering generous indoor and outdoor living.
Tatamoana sleeps up to four guests, while Ngahere welcomes up to six and features its own private outdoor hot tub tucked amongst the gardens.
Inside, spacious bedrooms, walk-in dressing areas and elegant ensuites with floor-to-ceiling glass create a wonderful connection with the surrounding landscape. Every room has been thoughtfully designed to feel comfortable, relaxed and effortlessly welcoming.
The fully equipped kitchens make it easy to enjoy long breakfasts or relaxed dinners together, while outdoor barbecues and private terraces invite you to make the most of Taupō’s warm evenings. If you’d rather leave the cooking to someone else, a private chef can be arranged.
Spend the Day Your Way
Some days are made for doing very little.
Take a morning paddle on the lake by kayak to the impressive Ngātoroirangi Mine Bay Māori Rock Carvings, wander the walking tracks through native bush, cool off in the swimming pool or simply settle in with a book and enjoy the peace and quiet.
If you’re feeling a little more active, there’s a floodlit tennis court, croquet lawn and pétanque court waiting to be enjoyed. Or treat yourself to an in-villa spa treatment and let someone else do the relaxing for you.
Explore the Central Plateau
The Point Villas are perfectly placed to discover the very best of the Taupō region.
Spend a day fly fishing on remote rivers, take a scenic helicopter flight over volcanoes and alpine landscapes, walk the world-famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing, enjoy a round of golf on one of the region’s championship courses or head to Mt Ruapehu for a day on the slopes during winter.
Or simply stay close to home.
Watch the light change across the lake, enjoy dinner on your terrace and finish the day beneath a sky full of stars.
The Point Villas offer the kind of escape that’s becoming harder to find—private, peaceful and surrounded by some of New Zealand’s most spectacular scenery.
