Where is it? Accessed via its International airport or 1 hours flight from Christchurch or 1 hour 40 minutes flight from Auckland.
Why Queenstown? Former President of USA, Bill Clinton said of Queenstown in 1999 "Breathtaking! I wish I had weeks to spend here. You know, when the aircraft was coming in everybody on the plane was just gasping when we saw the landscape. It's just so beautiful. You're all very fortunate.
The combination of a unique alpine setting located next to a freshwater lake, a host of different activities and attractions for visitors to experience and a compact town centre covering just one square kilometre are just some of its many features.
Golf: Queenstown is one of the few places in the world where golfers can really use the scenery as an excuse for a bad round! In fact, golfers can select from any one of the three excellent 18 hole courses in Queenstown as well as many others in the surrounding district.
Fishing: Go heli fishing in clear lakes and rivers among this truly beautiful scenery.
