Northland- Whangarei - Tahi

Where is it?
Tahi beach is situated 3 hours drive north of Auckland and before reaching the Bay of Islands. The immediate area is known as Pataua North.

How to get there?
From Auckland airport 3 hours through Whangarei- then direct east out to coast. See Maps. Also via helicopter – from Auckland city helipad or Auckland airport - minutes.

What’s there?
Not a lot- there is a small beach community with a cafe operating in the summer. Whangarei is 30 minutes drive away with plenty of cafes and restaurants. BUT we think the people who want to stay at Tahi are not after shops and cafes. They are there to appreciate some of New Zealand’s finest land and beaches.

Beautiful beaches – kayaking, surfing, tramping, horse riding,
