Awaroa Lodge is only accessible by foot, water, or air and we are very excited to announce a new transfer option from Nelson to Awaroa Lodge, effective 1st January 2007. Awaroa Lodge located in Abel Tasman National Park at the tip of the South Island is the perfect location to retreat into nature.Cruise from Nelson to Awaroa with the new company “Abel Tasman Cruises” on their new tourist catamaran “Caretta”. With seating for up to 65 passengers, this 17 meter (56 feet) cat has onboard viewing from its open upper deck or the enclosed lower deck.Caretta will cross quickly from Nelson to Kaiteriteri in only 45 to 50 minutes. From Kaiteriteri a leisurely pace will be adopted for passengers to take in the extraordinary scenery through Abel Tasman National Park. We are developing day packages to include transfer from the Airport to Nelson Wharf via coach or taxi, transfer to Awaroa, as well as a decadent luncg at the Lodge. We will send this information out to you as soon as we complete it.
