Qualmark New Zealand has given Point View Lodge its highest environmental award, Qualmark Gold. Point View is the only accommodation in the Taupo area to have achieved this status. They are also rated Qualmark 5 star guest and hosted, the top ranking in this category.

Point View Lodge, situated above Lake Taupo, has just received Qualmark’s enviro silver award. There is a native bush walk on the grounds as well as a naturally heated mineral pool. Cuisine at the Lodge uses produce from their vegetable and herb garden wherever possible and each meal uses the freshest New Zealand produce and locally sourced food, and the best wines from local wineries are complimentary with dinner. Bruce and Tricia Robertson, previous owners of Point View Lodge in Whitford, Auckland, have sold their Auckland property to develop Point View at a new location in Taupo.
