Weekend Magazine Visits Lime Tree Lodge in Wanaka
Monday, June 29th, 2009
Weekend Magazine’s Winter 2009 issue features an article called “Winter into Spring” about a spring ski break in the Lake Wanaka area of New Zealand’s South Island. The travellers stayed at Lime Tree Lodge, “a classy retreat on the outskirts of town” in the Black Peak Suite, a “roomy elegant suite named for its view. A fire blazed in the sitting room and outside the French doors led to a pool and spa”.
While visiting Lime Tree Lodge the visitors drove to the Cardrona, Treble Cone and Snow Park ski areas and for cross country skiing, Snow Farm, all about 40 minutes from Wanaka. Wanaka is a 1 hour drive from the Queenstown airport. The lodge also has a helipad which can be used for heli-skiing adventures.
Lime Tree Lodge features four ensuite guest rooms and two elegant suites, with professional, knowledgeable local owners and hosts offering home baking, local wines and superb cuisine. The lodge is endorsed by Tourism New Zealand as “Exceptional - among the best in New Zealand”.
