Point View Lodge Receives Qualmark Enviro Silver Award
Point View Lodge, situated above Lake Taupo, has just received Qualmark’s enviro silver award. This three room luxury lodge, which features sweeping views over Lake Taupo to the mountains of Mount Ruapehu National Park is owned and hosted by Bruce and Tricia Robertson (Tricia is also a marriage celebrant and superb chef). There is a native bush walk on the grounds as well as a naturally heated mineral pool. Cuisine at the Lodge uses produce from their vegetable and herb garden wherever possible and each meal uses the freshest New Zealand produce and locally sourced food, and the best wines from local wineries are complimentary with dinner. Environmental activities include recycling, composting, a planting program to reintroduce more native trees and plants, energy efficient lightingand heating and appliances on sensors or timers, and much more.
