ICON: also i•kon ( k n )
1.“An important and enduring symbol”.
2. “An object of great attention and devotion”
With this definition in mind, it is easy to understand why Nobilo looks upon this range of wines as a labour of love, painstakingly crafting a range of wines worthy of such a distinguished name. The Nobilo Icon range was launched in 1997, Icon is the champion brand for Nobilo Wine Group and comprises of key varietals that consistently deliver select parcels of top quality fruit from year to year. This range of wines is the culmination of years of research into specific viticultural techniques, particular attention to vineyard sites and a winemaking strategy focused on fruit structure and balance. Only the best fruit from the best vineyard sites is selected each year for this wine.
Nobilo Icon Marlborough Pinot Noir
A medium bodied wine with soft, mouth-filling fruit, a fine tannin structure and a lengthy finish. Flavours of rich plum pudding are balanced by hints of savoury, spice and gentle vanillin oak.
No bilo Icon Gisborne Chardonnay
Ripe nectarine and peach flavours meld with crisp, sweet grapefruit characters. The palate shows excellent weight and length, with the natural fruit flavours fusing with winemaking complexities of toasted bread, vanillin and warm, soft malolactic influences.
