Huntaway Lodge – Kerikeri

This contemporary Lodge and Retreat is perched on the hillside with breathtaking views to a panorama of golden beaches, rocky promontories and out to the Pacific Ocean.

The spacious and bright guest lounge opens out to wide balcony-decks with stunning views to the sea and features flat screen satellite TV, DVD player and Bose music system. Rooms have been designed with flair and feature either King or Queen Size beds, ensuite and walk-in showers, toiletries, tea and coffee facilities, Satellite TV, DVD player, music system, refrigerator and beach towels. All open to decks with breath-taking views. The Retreat, which is separate to the Lodge has 2 large bedrooms, super king beds, ensuite with infinity bathtubs and showers, is fully self-contained with its own living kitchen and dining. This can be booked for exclusive use and is ideal for two couples or guests with children. WI-FI is available throughout the Lodge
and The Retreat.

After a day’s touring return for a relaxing soak in the infinity spa with a glass of bubbles – the view from the spa is breathtaking and stretches out across the Cavalli Islands to the sea.

The resident chef provides gourmet breakfasts for you to enjoy indoors or out. Dinner is available on request or chef will create a simple supper platter.

Outdoor dining, sunbathing and creative privacy were elements taken into account when designing the gardens around Huntaway Lodge and Retreat. The surrounding gardens contain a mixture of native and exotic plantings interspersed with local basalt boulders.

Kerikeri with all the history and charm of early New Zealand is located just 30 minutes drive from the Lodge. Play a round of golf at the famous Kauri Cliffs Golf Course, just 10 minutes from the Lodge, enjoy a helicopter flight over this marine playground, swim with dolphins, try sea kayaking, scuba dive over the wreck of the Rainbow Warrior or enjoy big game fishing. Or simply enjoy a walk along a remote beach.
