Access: 6 kilometres from Christchurch International Airport and adjacent to Clearwater Golf Club.
Luxury accommodation set in a peaceful rural setting encompassing 4 hectares of gardens, vineyards, an olive grove plus apple and nut orchards, shared with Bellbirds, Kingfishers, Quail and Pukeko. Guests are welcome to pick and eat fruit in season or enjoy jams and preserves for breakfast. Just a very short drive from Christchurch International Airport and 15 minutes from Christchurch city centre.
A sweeping driveway delivers you to this spacious, luxurious homestead. There are three luxury suites with Super King or Twin beds, fresh flowers and Sky TV, and a DVD player is available on request. Each offers a spacious en-suite with large relaxing bath, separate shower, under-floor heating, bathrobes, toiletries, hairdryer. The suites open to private balconies with views of the Port Hills and Southern Alps, or out to the garden patio.
Relax around the heated pool and Spa, play petanque or tour the vineyard and enjoy a wine tasting. Explore Christchurch City or play golf at Christchurch’s pre-eminent championship golf course – Clearwater which is adjacent to Clearview Lodge. Sue and Robin, your hosts, are passionate golfers and have negotiated special rates here for their guests and at a number of other golf courses, including Pegasus and Terrace Downs Golf Resort.
Other options are to visit Orana Wildlife Park or The International Antarctic Centre – both short drives from the lodge.
Join your hosts for a glass of wine and canapés late afternoon when you arrive, or drinks before you depart for dinner. Taste their own Clements Estate Pinot Noir, Rose or port or New Zealand white wines from nearby Waipara, or one of New Zealand’s many other wine regions.
